A Family Affair

"Okay..." Adam sighed, sitting on the floor at Sammy's feet, leaning against her legs.

Sammy ran a hand through Adam's hair

Adam smiled, leaning his head back to look up at her.

Lennon came and sat on a chair beside Sammy.

Sammy smiled as she saw Aida appear in the door way, now wearing the costume Sammy had bought her. "C'mon honey," Sammy said to Adam.

"Oh...kay..." Adam said, slowly standing.

Sammy took his hand, smiling when Monte got up and took the other.

Adam smiled at Monte, looking over his shoulder ay Lennon, who was standing again.

Sammy and Monte followed Aida up the stairs.

Adam looked nervous again as they headed upstairs.

Monte squeezed Adam's hand. "It's okay."

Adam smiled nervously at Monte before looking where they were going.

Sammy led Adam into the room.

Adam whimpered quietly, acting scared again.

"Shhhh," Sammy soothed gently. "It's okay sweetie."

"Don't like it here..." Adam whined.

"I know, I know," said Sammy.

Adam stared down at the floor as they walked.

"It's okay," said Monte softly. "Don't be scared."

"But I hate it..." Adam mumbled.

"I know, but you gotta do it though," said Monte. "You wanna get better don't you?"

"Uh-huh..." Adam said, nodding. "I do..."

"Then you gotta see the doctor," said Monte. "It'll only take a little while."

"Okay, okay..." Adam sighed, going quiet.

"I'll be right here, the whole time, promise," Monte told Adam.

Adam nodded, giving a small smile.
