A Family Affair

"I know sweetie, but you need to get better," said Sammy.

"O-okay...." Adam said, using his upset Roger tone.

Hearing the tone in Adam's voice, Sammy couldn't help but smile a little. "It'll be okay, I promise."

Adam nodded, clinging to Sammy, sniffing just to add to it.

Sammy rubbed Adam's back.

Adam accidentally started laughing, quickly turning it into a cough instead.

"Idiot..." Lennon said quietly, chuckling.

"C'mon sweetie, let's go get you checked out okay?" said Sammy.

"Kay..." Adam muttered, slowly letting go of Sammy.

Sammy stood up, offering a hand to Adam.

Adam smiled at Sammy, taking her hand as he got up.

Monte moved to stand on the other side of Adam.

Adam smiled in a childish way at Monte. "You have to stay with me..." He said.

Monte smiled and nodded. "I will, you know I will."

"Good." Adam said, smiling.

Lennon moved closer, reaching out to pat Adam's head.

Sammy smiled. "C'mon, let's get this over with."

"Kay..." Adam sighed, squeezing Sammy's hand.

Sammy squeezed Adam's hand gently, heading down the stairs.

Adam glanced over his shoulder at Lennon as they walked, giving him a small smile.

Lennon smiled back, quietly following.

Monte went into the living room and sat on the couch so he was in the 'back seat'.

Adam hugged Sammy before going to curl up against Monte, coughing.

Lennon raised an eyebrow, not looking very amused by the 'car'.

Monte wrapped his arms around Adam. Sammy sat down on the floor in front of the couch.

Adam smiled, closing his eyes and pretending to fall asleep.

Lennon hesitated before slowly going over to sit by Sammy.

Sammy glanced back, smiling when she saw Adam.

Adam opened his eyes slightly, smirking at Sammy when he saw her looking at him.

"Sleep," said Sammy softly. "It's okay."
