Pity The Child

"Oh I know she is..." Adam frowned. "Him too from what you've said..."

"He's worse," Monte shivered softly. "They've even hit each other before."

"Well they deserve to be stuck with each other." Adam said.

Monte nodded, yawning softly.

Adam smiled and hugged Monte close.

Monte fell asleep in Adam's arms.

Adam sat looking down at Monte as he slept in his arms.

A few hours later, Sammy started to stir

Being curled up next to Sammy, her movement woke Lennon.

Adam looked up, frowning slightly as he remembered something Monte had said.

"Addy?" Sammy asked softly. "What's wrong?"

"I was...talking to Monte...about some of the things that had been done to them..." Adam said quietly.

Sammy nodded, pulling Lennon closer. "Yeah?"

Adam sighed and explained what Monte had said about Will.

Lennon curled up, burying his face against Sammy.

Sammy stroked Lennon's hair. "That's just cruel," she muttered

Lennon whimpered and shivered, curling up more.

"Shhhh sweetie," Sammy said softly. "Momma's got you, it's okay."

"Th-they....hurt me...." Lennon whimpered, putting his hands over his face.

"I know honey, I know," said Sammy gently.

Lennon curled up more, shaking.

Sammy sat up a bit so Lennon rested in her arms. She rocked him gently.

Lennon whimpered, then slowly started to relax.

"Lennon sweetie," Sammy asked gently. "Will you let me see what he did to you?"

Lennon pulled a face, moving his hands to cover his mouth.

"Honey, it's just me," Sammy said gently. "I just wanna see, that's all."

Lennon stared at Sammy for a few seconds, slowly lowering his hands afterwards.
