Pity The Child

"Sounds like me..." Adam said, rolling his eyes.

"Everybody always says he's the most like you," said Monte.

"I'd agree...if I actually had seen you both enough recently to know..." Adam sighed.

"Not your fault daddy," said Monte. "You had work."

"I know...but I still..." Adam trailed off, frowning.

"Not your fault, their fault, like you said," said Monte.

"Right...sorry." Adam said, smiling slightly.

Monte smiled hugging Adam.

"Thanks..." Adam said. "You want something to eat?" He asked.

Monte shook his head. "Not hungry."

"Okay, just checking." Adam said.

Lennon shifted slightly, starting to stir.

Monte glanced over when he saw Lennon move.

Lennon shifted again, moving closer to Sammy.

Sammy put an arm around him.

Lennon smiled and continued sleeping.

Adam was looking around the room, not paying attention.

Mont smiled as he watched.

Lennon moved again a few minutes later, yawning as he slowly woke up.

Monte smiled. "He's awake....."

"No I'm not..." Lennon mumbled, yawning again.

Adam smiled and rolled his eyes.

"Len...." Monte whined. "You gotta get up so daddy will tell us what's wrong with momma."

"But I'm comfy..." Lennon whined.

"Being momma's teddy bear," Monte said.

Lennon nodded. "She's nice and warm..."

Monte nodded. "I wanna know what's wrong though...."

Lennon sat up, looking down at Sammy with a worried look. "Me too..."
