Pity The Child

Sammy took one of Lennon's hand in her own. "It's okay Lennon. " she told him. "I promise."

Lennon gave a small nod, not taking his eyes off Sammy as he opened his mouth.

Sammy shook her head at the sight. "My poor baby......"

"What...?" Adam asked slowly, watching them from his seat.

Lennon whimpered, looking at Sammy with tears in his eyes.

"Shhhhh Lennon honey, shhhh don't cry, it's alright," Sammy said gently. "We're gonna protect you from them, I promise they'll never ever hurt you ever again." She turned to look at Adam, shaking her head.

Lennon gave a small nod. "Th-there's more...not just in my mouth...." He said, almost whispering.

Adam frowned and sighed.

"Where sweetie?" Sammy asked softly.

Lennon looked away, biting his lip.

Sammy softly squeezed Lennon's hand.

Lennon gently squeezed her hand back, looking over at Monte.

"He's okay sweetie," Sammy said gently. "He's okay."

"I know..." Lennon said quietly. "But he...knows more of what they did to me..."

Sammy nodded. "You boys have been through so much....."

Lennon nodded, still watching Monte.

Monte shifted as if he could feel Lennon watching him, waking up.

Adam looked down at Monte as he felt him move. "Hey..." He said softly.

Lennon smiled slightly as he saw Monte stir.

Monte smiled at Adam before getting up to go to Lennon. "You okay?"

Lennon held his arms out, giving Monte a look that only he'd understand.

Monte moved closer, hugging his brother close.

Lennon hugged Monte back tightly. "Mama asked...what they did..." He said quietly to him.

Monte nodded. "I told daddy a lot earlier......"

"All of it...?" Lennon asked.

"I-I think so," said Monte. "All I could remember."

Lennon nodded, burying his face against his brother's shoulder.

"I'm here Len," Monte soothed, gently rubbing his brother's back as he held him. "I'm here."
