A Family Affair

Monte laughed softly. "Kay."

Lennon smiled as he watched them for a minute, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Shouldn't you be resting?" He eventually asked.

Monte nodded. "You should be."

"Fine..." Adam sighed, putting down the crayons and climbing up onto the bed, curling up once he was lying at the pillows.

Monte got up and tucked Adam in.

"You have to lay with me..." Adam pouted, being as clingy as Monte and Lennon were to each other when sick.

Monte nodded. "Lemme clean up the crayons and stuff first."

"Kay..." Adam mumbled, curling up more.

Lennon watched before looking up at Sammy again.

Sammy gave Lennon a small smile, watching Monte pick up Adam's mess.

Lennon smiled at Sammy, still not having realised what he'd done.

Sammy went over to Lennon. "C'mon, we need to talk," she said softly. "In the hallway."

Lennon nodded and got up to follow, looking slightly confused.

Adam rolled over to look.

Monte moved over to the bed, climbing in to distract Adam as the door was closed.

Adam smiled when he saw Monte, moving to hug him.

"What...?" Lennon asked Sammy when the door was closed.

"First, do you realize how you sound right now?" Sammy asked. Monte smiled, hugging Adam.

"No...?" Lennon said, still looking confused.

"You ok?" Adam asked.

"You sound like...like her," said Sammy. Monte nodded. "You?"

Lennon froze, a look of horror on his face. "I...I didn't mean to...."

Adam nodded. "Just..."

Sammy nodded, pulling Lennon close. "I know, I know."

"Sorry..." Lennon mumbled, hugging Sammy back.

"S'okay," said Sammy. "Now....how long should we wait before we have to deal with the world's largest tantrum?"

"What tantrum...?" Lennon asked, not getting it again, trying to ignore the memories.

"Len, you know the minute the word doctor comes out of either of our mouths, Adam's gonna throw a fit," said Sammy.

"Oh right, right..." Lennon said, shaking his head. "Could be worse...could always make him have a fake blood test or fake be sick..."

Sammy nodded. "True."
