A Family Affair

"My poor little Addy," said Sammy, moving a hand to his forehead. "Why don't you go upstairs and lie down for a while?"

Adam pouted more, slowly nodding. "Kay..." He said, mimicking the way Monte and Lennon often said 'okay' before turning to go up to their room.

Sammy ruffled his hair, in a similar way that she did Monte's. "If you need me, all you have to do is yell."

Adam looked at her and nodded, grinning in a very Monte-ish way before shuffling off towards the stairs.

Sammy smiled, heading out to the porch when she heard the car door shut, meaning Monte's coach was bringing the boys home. She wanted to catch them and explain before they got inside.

Lennon got out of the car, laughing and shaking his head at something Monte had said, running a hand through his dark hair, which was in a ponytail. He saw Sammy waiting outside for them and looked over to say something to Monte before going over to her, grinning.

Sammy smiled, hugging Lennon. "So, how was dance rehearsal?"

"Good." Lennon smiled, hugging Sammy back and kissing her cheek. "Why're you out here?"

"Well, I wanted to catch you two before you got inside," said Sammy. "Your sister has decided she wants to play a game with all of us," she said, explaining all the details to the boys.

Lennon nodded before Sammy explained, only to end up looking almost as confused as Adam had once it was explained. "Oh...okay...." He said slowly. "...what was I again?"

Sammy grinned. "You get to be Adam's dad, you and your daddy are switching roles for the day."

"Oh!" Lennon said, grinning as well. "So he can't complain if I boss him 'round?"

"Nope," said Sammy.

Lennon's grin grew as he laughed, suddenly disappearing inside to clean up after dancing.

Monte shook his head and headed inside.

Lennon came back soon after, having changed clothes, his hair up in a ponytail again, but wet after having a quick shower. "So where is he?" He asked Sammy.

"In bed resting," said Sammy, slipping back into character. "He's not feeling well."

"Ooh...he's not?" Lennon asked, frowning, in character as well now. "What's wrong?"

Sammy shrugged. "He didn't tell me, then again I didn't ask, he just wanted hugs."

"So how do you know if he's really sick then huh?" Lennon asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Because he said he didn't feel good, so I sent him up to bed," said Sammy. "Plus he felt pretty warm earlier."

Lennon nodded before turning to go find Adam.

Sammy and Monte followed behind him.

Lennon stopped outside the door to the room, which was closed and looked over at Sammy.

"Go ahead," said Sammy.
