A Family Affair

Sammy reached out to stroke Lennon's hair.

"Sorry..." Lennon mumbled.

"Shhhhhh," said Sammy gently. "S'alright."

"I...I'm trying..." Lennon mumbled, trailing off.

Sammy sighed softly. "Lennon, honey c'mere," she said softly. "Aida's upstairs, she'll never know if we break character for a little."

Lennon shook his head stubbornly. "It's fine..."

"Lennon," said Sammy. "You're upset..."

"No..." Lennon mumbled, still clinging to Adam, who hugged him close.

"Okay, okay," said Sammy.

Lennon went quiet, still clinging to Adam.

Sammy looked at Adam, frowning.

Adam raised an eyebrow at Sammy, silently asking what to do.

Sammy only frowned more, not knowing what to do.

Lennon sighed quietly, slowly looking up at Monte after a few minutes, knowing he'd understand the look he was giving him.

Monte sighed softly. "Len, c'mere."

Lennon slowly let go of Adam and shuffled over to Monte.

Monte held his arms out.

Lennon came closer to Monte, flinging his arms around his brother's neck as soon as he was close enough.

Monte held Lennon close.

Lennon hugged Monte tight, leaning his head on Monte so that most of his face was covered by his hair.

Monte hugged Lennon tight. "It's okay Len......"

"They won't go away..." Lennon mumbled, quiet enough for only Monte to hear, knowing Monte knew what he meant.

"What'd you remember?" Monte asked. He could help better if he knew what he was dealing with.

"What they did...when I was sick..." Lennon mumbled.

Monte sighed softly. "Len....look at me...."
