Tainted Love

"I'm know, I know...I-'m trying..." Adam sighed.

Sammy nodded. "Me too."

"That boy is old enough to be charged you know.." Adam said quietly.

Sammy nodded. "Only if Lennon agrees to press charges."

"I know." Adam nodded.

Sammy sighed softly.

"What?" Adam asked.

"Worried," said Sammy.

Adam just nodded, hugging her tight again.

Monte didn't take his eyes off Lennon.

Lennon started to stir again a few minutes later, coughing before starting to breathe properly.

Monte looked up, hopeful.

Lennon slowly moved the fingers of his hand that Monte was holding, groaning quietly.

Monte squeezed Lennon's hand.

"Still here...?" Lennon said in a faint voice, sounding surprised.

"Of course," said Monte. "I wouldn't leave you."

Lennon gave a weak smile, slowly looking up at him.

Monte smiled. "Hey you."

"Hey..." Lennon said quietly.

"How you feeling?" Monte asked.

"How do you think?" Lennon said, a pained look on his face.

Monte gently ran a hand through Lennon's hair. "Fucking asshole," he muttered.

Lennon stared up at Monte, a surprised look on his face. "Since when's it you who speaks like that?" He asked.

"Since somebody hurt my brother," Monte replied simply.

"Oh, right." Lennon said, thinking it a good enough reason.

Adam looked up, hearing Monte say something, smiling when he saw them talking. "Sammy..."
