Tainted Love

Monte kissed the top of Bradley's head.

Lennon smiled as he watched them, running a hand through his hair.

Sammy peeked her head in the doorway.

Bradley jumped when he saw Sammy, burying his face against Monte's shoulder.

"It's okay baby," said Monte. "It's only Momma."

"Oh..." Bradley said quietly, slowly looking at Sammy.

Sammy gave Bradley a gentle smile. "Didn't mean to startle you."

"It's okay..." Bradley said quietly, smiling nervously.

Sammy slowly came over to the bed. "Just wanted to see how you were doing."

"Oh..." Bradley said, going shy.

"Don't be so shy sweetie," said Sammy. "I won't bite."

Bradley hesitated for a second before smiling at her.

Monte smiled. "Momma won't hurt you, I promise."

"Worst she's done's be too nice..." Lennon chuckled.

Sammy stuck her tongue out at Lennon.

Lennon stuck his tongue out back. "Well it's true." He said.

Bradley chuckled as he watched them.

Monte laughed softly

Bradley smiled and hugged Monte, whimpering slightly when he moved his injured hand.

Monte rubbed Bradley's back

"Hurry up and stop hurting hand..." Bradley mumbled.

Monte chuckled "Patience love."

"Can't," Bradley mumbled. "Hurts..."

"I know I know," said Monte gently.

"You're lucky," Bradley said. "Your parents aren't mean..."

"Not momma and dad anyway," said Monte. "Mom.....different story."
