"You're gonna be okay though," said Monte. "Too stubborn to let him keep you down." Sammy looked up at Adam "Hmm?"

"Yeah, I guess..." Lennon said, his voice still faint.

"Lennon..." Adam said, pointing.

Sammy looked up, smiling at what she saw, before moving toward the bed.

Lennon froze when he heard someone come closer, looking at Monte nervously.

"It's just mama," said Monte. "It's okay."

Lennon gave a small smile and relaxed, slowly turning his head to look at Sammy, annoyed when he realised one of the nurses was still standing nearby as if they expected him to pass out again.

Sammy smiled. "Hey sweetie."

"Hey..." Lennon said, smiling.

"You had us worried there for a while," said Sammy

"Oh...really?" Lennon asked, unaware of how bad it had been. "Why?"

"You kept going in and out of it for a while," said Sammy

"Oh..." Lennon said, frowning.

"It'll be okay sweetie, I promise," said Sammy.

"W-What if he comes back...?" Lennon whispered, looking scared.

"Shhhh," said Sammy. "We won't let him hurt you," she told him. "Lennon, you should consider pressing charges against him."

"Why?" Lennon asked.

"What he did to you was assault Lennon," said Sammy. "and if whatever he gave you could've been enough to overdose you, it could be considered attempted murder."

Lennon frowned, slowly looking away from Sammy.

Monte squeezed Lennon's hand. "Len..."

"What?" Lennon said quietly, still frowning.

"She's right y'know," Monte said, mentally swearing when he heard his voice crack, tears brimming his eyes. "I thought...I thought I was gonna lose you..."

Lennon made an upset sound, pulling the pillow he'd been lying on over his face.

Monte pulled away from Lennon, turning his back and covering his face the way Adam did when upset.

Not being able to hear them from where he was, Adam came over to them, a confused look on his face.

Monte made an upset sound, muffled behind his hands.
