Pity The Child

Lennon reached an arm out for Monte, still covering his face with the other.

Monte took Lennon's hand. "I'm right here."

Lennon whimpered quietly, squeezing Monte's hand tightly.

"Len, let her help you, please...." said Monte.

Lennon shook his head. "I'm scared..." He whispered.

"It's okay," Monte said softly. "I'll be right here, I promise."

Lennon hesitated before giving a small nod and slowly sat up, not letting go of Monte's hand.

Kiara gave a soft smile. "What's the matter hun?"

"Hurts." Lennon said, pouting.

"What hurts Lennon?" Kiara asked.

"Stomach..."Lennon frowned.

Kiara nodded, coming over to the bed. "Alright hun, just lay down and we'll see what's wrong."

Lennon nodded, pulling a face as he laid down, squeezing Monte's hand tighter.

"It's okay Len, it's okay," said Monte, gently squeezing Lennon's hand.

Lennon whimpered, putting his other arm back around his stomach.

"Lennon, hun, I can't do much with your arm in the way," said Kiara.

Lennon sighed, slowly moving his arm.

Kiara smiled. "There, now can you tell me exactly where it hurts?"

Lennon pulled a face, slowly moving his hand to point to where it was hurting, looking over at Monte.

Monte gave a small smile, squeezing Lennon's hand.

Lennon smiled nervously, trying not to look scared.

Kiara tried to be as gentle as she could, applying a bit of pressure to the area Lennon had pointed out.

Lennon flinched, whimpering as Kiara touched his stomach.

Kiara spent the next few minutes going through a series of physical exams for Lennon. After she finished she shook her head, leaving the room temporarily to go make a call.

After Kiara was done, Lennon curled back up, whimpering.

Adam frowned at Kiara's response, looking worriedly at Sammy.
