Pity The Child

Adam smiled and leaned his head against Sammy's.

Sammy smiled, reaching up to run a hand through Adam's hair.

Adam kissed Sammy again before sighing softly. "We were going to sit...?"

Sammy nodded, moving to the bed.

Adam followed, slowly sitting down, being careful not to wake Monte.

Sammy sat down and held her arms out. "Lemme hold him."

Adam handed Monte over, lying down on the bed afterwards.

Sammy held Monte close.

"Love you..." Adam mumbled, yawning.

Sammy smiled. "Love you too Addy."

Adam yawned again before stubbornly rolling over to look up at Sammy.

"Go to sleep Addy," said Sammy.

"I'm fine..." Adam said, though he knew he was exhausted.

"Adam, sleep," Sammy said, the words more of a gentle order this time.

Adam stubbornly shook his head. "Lennon..." He mumbled.

"I'll wake you up when it's time, I promise," said Sammy.

Adam sighed and nodded, rolling back onto his side, snoring softly barely a minute later.

Sammy rubbed Adam's back while he slept.

Adam shifted slightly in his sleep, moving closer to Sammy and Monte.

Sammy took one of Adam's hands in her own.

Adam smiled in his sleep and kept snoring.

Sammy chuckled softly.

Adam shifted slightly at the sound, but stayed asleep.

Sammy smiled, watching him sleep.

Adam slept peacefully, completely out of it.
