The nurse nodded. "Bring them on back." Sammy walked up behind Adam.

Adam nodded and motioned for Sammy to go ahead, adjusting his grip on Monte.

Sammy carried Lennon toward a triage room, hoping the boy would stay calm.

Lennon wasn't paying attention, his face still buried against Sammy and covered by his hood.

Adam followed, carrying Monte.

Sammy sat down in a chair in the room, Lennon still in her arms. She wasn't going to let him go.

Adam leaned against the wall, hugging Monte tight as he worried about Lennon.

Sammy bit her lip knowing the nurse couldn't do anything with Lennon bundled up the way he was, but she didn't know how to handle it without scaring him.

"What's wrong...?" Lennon asked quietly, seeing Sammy bite her lip as he looked at her.

"Nothing sweetie," said Sammy gently, not wanting to scare him. "I'm just worried about you, that's all." She brushed a bit of hair from Lennon's face. "We're gonna have to unwrap you for a little bit, okay sweetheart?"

Adam watched the two of them, gently rubbing Monte's back.

Sammy kissed the top of Lennon's head. Monte shifted a bit in his sleep.

Adam moved to sit down with Monte, still rubbing his back.

Lennon smiled at Adam, then jumped slightly when the door opened; hiding his face against Sammy again.
