Adam sighed, pulling Monte closer against him, hugging him protectively. "W-What else have they done...?" He asked, trying not to get upset.

"A lot," said Monte. "I don't think we went a day without being hit, yelled at, kicked, slapped, thrown, stepped on...."

Adam pulled a face, his arms tightening around Monte as he tried not to get angry. "What...was the worst they did...?" He asked quietly.

"Lennon got the worst of it," said Monte. "For trying to protect me." He shivered slightly at the memory. "Will would stick a lit candle in his mouth, or a hot spoon, or a lit cigarette on his tongue 'til he screamed....."

Monte bit his lip, tears welling up in his eyes. "I would hear him scream, and scream over and over," he said. "He'd beg Will to stop, to let him go.....but he wouldn't...."

Adam froze before slowly looking over at Lennon, looking upset as well instead of being angry.
