Tainted Love

Lennon didn't respond, staring down at the ground, hair hiding his face again.

"Honey, why didn't you tell us any of this?" Sammy asked.

"You were angry with me already..." Lennon mumbled.

"Lennon, had I known..." Sammy trailed off, knowing it didn't really matter now.

"What?" Lennon asked, sounding annoyed, angry with himself.

Sammy shook her head. "It doesn't really matter now, we can't go back."

"I know that..." Lennon said quietly, rubbing his eyes.

"I know I've been harsh with you lately," said Sammy. "and I'm sorry."

"It's not like you had a choice...I made you have to be that way." Lennon said, a guilty look on his face as he looked up at her.

"Still, I should've spent less time yelling at you, and more time trying to talk to you," said Sammy.

"It's fine," Lennon shrugged. "But....I'm scared he'd try do something if I try to leave..."

Sammy kissed Lennon's cheek. "Do you really think he would?"

"I...I don't know..." Lennon said quietly, smiling slightly after Sammy kissed his cheek.

Sammy smiled. "Why don't we go back to the others?"

"Okay." Lennon nodded, slowly moving to get up.

Sammy slowly stood up as well.

Lennon ran a hand through his hair, smiling at Sammy.

Trevor paced the small clearing area where he and Lennon had started hiding out when they wanted to see each other. He was waiting for Lennon to get there, who had said he wanted to talk.

Lennon sighed, nervously running a hand through his hair as he stood just out of sight of the clearing. He'd finally worked up the courage to send Trevor the message to meet him here, but was now too worried about what would happen when he said what he wanted to. After a few minutes, he took a deep breath and slowly walked over to Trevor.

Trevor smiled when he saw Lennon. "Hey doll."

"Hey..." Lennon said quietly, stopping a few steps away from Trevor.

"Is something wrong?" Trevor asked.

"Um..." Lennon said nervously. "No, not really..."

"Doll, I know you better than that," said Trevor, reaching out to touch Lennon's cheek. "What is it?"

Lennon frowned, taking a step back so that he was just out of Trevor's reach. "Um...we...have to..." Lennon trailed off, nervous. "I...I can't do this anymore..."
