Pity The Child

"It'll help make you better though won't it?" Lennon asked, watching Sammy with a worried look.

Sammy nodded. "It will, don't worry honey, okay?"

Lennon nodded back, moving over so Kiara could reach Sammy.

Sammy reached a hand out to Lennon. "Stay, I have another arm she can stick y'know."

Lennon smiled and nodded, moving closer to hold Sammy's hand.

Sammy smiled, shivering a bit as Kiara cleaned her arm.

Adam put a hand one Sammy's cheek, gently kissing her in hopes of distracting her.

Sammy kissed Adam back, a sharp whine escaping her lips as the needle first pierced her skin

Lennon squeezed Sammy's hand, pulling a face at them kissing.

"Ahh mother..." Sammy mumbled, biting down on her lip so she wouldn't finish the thought.

"Shh..." Adam said, kissing Sammy again, gently stroking her cheek.

Sammy kissed Adam back, before turning to wrap her arms around Lennon. "I'm holding you hostage, you shall be my teddy bear."

Lennon giggled, hugging Sammy. "Okay."

Sammy smiled. "You make a very good teddy bear."

Lennon grinned, hugging Sammy tighter.

Monte smiled, moving over to Adam. "Momma okay?"

Adam nodded slowly, pulling Monte into a hug.

Monte hugged Adam back. "Daddy okay?" he asked. "You seem sad...."

"I...I'm fine." Adam said, forcing a smile.

Sammy sighed. "Adam......we need to tell them....."

"I...know." Adam said slowly.

Monte looked at Adam confused.

"I'll explain it properly later, ok?" Adam said softly.

"You're gonna put it off again," Sammy muttered.

"No I..." Adam went to say before stopping, realising that's probably what he'd do.
