Pity The Child

"Yes....just a little." Adam laughed. "And don't roll your eyes...you know you love it." He grinned.

Sammy chuckled. "Maybe I do, maybe I don't."

"Would you be here if you didn't love it at least a little?" Adam smirked.

Sammy chuckled. "Okay, okay, you win."

"As always." Adam laughed.

Lennon smiled and rolled his eyes. "Silly dad..."

Monte nodded. "Daddy's silly..."

"Hey, you two can be just as silly sometimes..." Adam pouted.

"They get it honestly," Sammy chuckled.

"I guess at least for them it's 'acting their age'..." Adam sighed. "I often just get called an idiot..."

"You're not an idiot Addy," said Sammy. "You just see the fun things in life." Monte hugged Adam. "Daddy's not an idiot, Will is."

"I know, I know," Adam said. "I never said I was one, other people do...but yes, Will is definitely one." He chuckled.

"He put the salt in his tea on accident one time," Monte chuckled

Adam laughed. "Yep, he's an idiot..."

"He was drunk," Monte mumbled

"Of course he was..." Adam sighed, rolling his eyes.

"And when he gets drunk, so does mommy," said Monte. "and that makes her an even bigger bitch..."

Adam stared at Monte in shock for a few seconds, not sure he'd heard right. Eventually he just started laughing.

Sammy chuckled softly, before glancing down at Lennon. "Would've expected to hear that from you."

Lennon laughed softly and smiled. "Nope."

"You can't tell me you wouldn't have said it if Monte hadn't," said Sammy. "You're far too much like your father for that."

"I might of..." Lennon said. "But not swearing like dad would."

Sammy nodded, stroking Lennon's hair, she turned to look at Adam. "Addy, if she gave them up, I wanna legally adopt them."

"Sure." Adam said, nodding. "Why would I say no?"

"Didn't think you would," said Sammy. She glanced down at Lennon again. "What would you think if I legally became your mom?"

Lennon grinned and hugged Sammy.
