"I know, I know." Adam said. "I'm hardly going to let someone who's been hurt go somewhere where they'll just end up worse..."

Monte nodded. "He's getting x-rays now...."

"What for...?" Adam asked curiously.

"His hand," said Monte.

"Oh," Adam said. "Has he said what actually happened?"

Monte shook his head. "I don't wanna push it too much right now."

Adam nodded, understanding. "Fair enough."

"He's so scared...." Monte sighed.

"I'd be surprised if he wasn't..." Adam said quietly.

Monte stared at his feet, rubbing his wrist.

"Are you okay?" Adam asked softly.

Monte nodded, he'd gotten so used to hiding it.

Adam sighed, figuring he wasn't really ok. "You should go see if Kiara's done with the x-ray..."

"They just left, Dad," said Monte.

"Well you never said that..." Adam frowned.

Lennon chuckled. "Maybe you shouldn't sleep so much dad..."

Monte chuckled.

"I don't...do I?" Adam pouted, looking at Sammy.

"Not that much," Sammy chuckled

Adam smiled and stuck his tongue out at Lennon and Monte.

Monte laughed.

"Dad's still five..." Lennon laughed.

Monte nodded. "Yep, still younger than me."

"Five and a half if you're going to say things like that..." Adam mumbled.

Monte chuckled. "Is the half that important?"

"Yes." Adam said, pouting as he folded his arms.
