Tainted Love

Bradley smiled nervously before staring up at Monte.

Monte kissed Bradley's forehead. "Can you move your fingers?" Kiara asked.

Bradley smiled at Monte before whimpering as he tried to move his fingers.

"We should probably get an x-ray on that," said Kiara.

Bradley frowned, looking miserable again.

"It'll be okay," said Monte gently.

"You don't know that." Bradley mumbled.

"Yes I do," said Monte.

"How are you always so positive about everyone else's issues...?" Bradley asked quietly.

Monte shrugged. "Just am."

"You never believe me when I tell you that though..." Bradley sighed.

Monte sighed. "That's different."

"How is this different?" Bradley asked. "Your issues mostly come from the same sort of thing..." He added quietly.

"It just is..." said Monte.

"Fine..." Bradley sighed, staring up at the roof.

Why don't I go talk to dad while you get that x-ray?" said Monte.

"No...don't go!" Bradley said, panicking, reaching his uninjured hand out to him.

"Shhhh," Monte said gently. "Baby, relax."

"But...but you were gonna go..." Bradley whimpered.

"I won't, I won't," said Monte. "I'm here."

Bradley nodded and slowly relaxed. "Sorry..."

"S'okay love," Monte soothed

Bradley smiled, holding his arm out for a hug.

Monte gently hugged Bradley. "Love you."

Bradley smiled, relaxing against Monte. "Love you."
