Pity The Child

"Love you too mama..." Lennon said. "and you too dad." He added, looking over at Adam, who smiled.

Sammy smiled. "Don't want anybody getting jealous again now do we?"

"no...he looks silly when he's sad." Lennon laughed.

Sammy chuckled softly. Monte slowly sat up.

"Hey..." Adam said slowly when he realised what Lennon had said. "That's mean..."

"And you just now caught on," said Sammy.

"Yeah....so?" Adam said, shrugging his shoulders.

Sammy just shook her head.

Lennon laughed, quickly turning to Monte when he realised he was awake, hugging his brother.

Monte smiled, hugging Lennon back.

"You ok?" Lennon asked Monte.

Monte nodded. "Yeah, you?"

"Mostly..." Lennon said, brushing hair off his face.

Monte nodded.

"Mama has to get better too though before we can go..." Lennon sighed.

"Momma's gettin' better," said Sammy. "Don't worry."

Lennon grinned. "Then we can go home soon?"

"Hopefully munckin, hopefully," said Sammy.

"Yay!" Lennon smiled. "It's boring in here."

"I know it is honey," Sammy replied.

"So tell them to let us go..." Lennon whined.

"You know I can't do that sweetie," said Sammy.

Lennon sighed, laying his head on Monte's shoulder. "I know..."

Monte hugged his brother close.

Lennon smiled, wrapping his arms around Monte.
