Pity The Child

Lennon smiled and squeezed his hand back.

Sammy smiled as she watched the two.

Adam was looking down at his phone.

Lennon curled up against Monte, closing his eyes.

"Sleepy Len?" Monte asked.

"Uh-huh..." Lennon said. "Still don't feel well..."

"Sleep, I'll be right here," said Monte.

Lennon smiled and relaxed, slowly falling asleep.

Monte stayed close.

Adam looked up from his phone, smiling at the boys.

Monte brushed Lennon's hair from his face as he slept

Lennon shifted slightly, smiling at the touch.

Monte smiled.

While Lennon was asleep, Adam moved over to sit closer to Sammy.

Sammy smiled. "Hey..."

"Hello," Adam said, rolling his eyes. "I come from the faraway land of the hospital chair..." He laughed.

Sammy giggled. "Is it lonely in your faraway land of hospital chair?"

"Yes..." Adam said, pouting.

"Awwww, don't pout," said Sammy. "Join us in the ever so boring land of hospital bed."

"Bound to be more fun than my lonely hospital chair..." Adam chuckled.

"I'll make sure you're not so lonely," said Sammy.

Adam grinned, leaning closer to hug Sammy.

Sammy hugged him back. "Love you, my prince from the lonely land of hospital chair."

Adam grinned and cracked up laughing. "I'm anything but a prince...but I love you too..."

"You're a prince to me," said Sammy. "Isn't that enough?"

"How am I one?" Adam asked, raising an eyebrow.
