Pity The Child

"At least he's not quite as stubborn as me and Lennon..." Adam said quietly.

"He can be when he wants to be," said Sammy.

"I know, but he still isn't as often as us." Adam said.

Sammy nodded.

"Probably a good thing," Adam said. "We'd drive you mad with too much stubborness."

Sammy chuckled. "Nahhhh."

"Really?" Adam said. "You really think you could put up with the three of us all being as stubborn as we get?"

"You're forgetting I have a younger brother from Daddy and momma Becca, and two from my birth parents," said Sammy

"Oh right." Adam said. "That does explain why you haven't run off yet..."

"Plus a younger sister too," said Sammy. "I can handle stubborn."

"Okay, okay." Adam chuckled. "I get it."

Sammy grinned and kissed Adam's cheek.

Adam smiled, leaning his head against Sammy's afterwards.

Sammy smiled. "Love you Bear."

"Love you too." Adam smiled.

"You should go back to sleep," said Sammy.

"Why?" Adam asked. "I'm fine..."

"You only got like an hour sleep Addy," said Sammy.

"So? I'm..." Adam said, trailing off as he stared at Sammy.

"Addy you need sleep," said Sammy.

"Do not..." Adam pouted.

Sammy batted her eyelashes. "Addy...."

"I...um...what?" Adam said, staring at her.

"Sleep," said Sammy. "I'll lay with you," said Sammy, still batting her eyelashes at him

"But I don't want to..." Adam mumbled.
