Unbreakable Bond

Lennon giggled, burying his face against Monte's shoulder afterwards.

"You really should try to eat something," said Monte, carrying Lennon downstairs. "You gotta take your medicine again soon, and you shouldn't take it on an empty stomach, it might give you a tummy ache."

Lennon made an irritated sound, not wanting to.

"C'mon munchkin," sighed Monte softly. "What about those little fruit things Mama gets you, the little sharks, what about a pack or two of those?"

Lennon lifted his head to look at Monte, a small smile on his face.

Monte smiled, heading into the kitchen, grabbing the juice, and the fruit snacks, before heading back upstairs again.

Lennon buried his face against Monte's shoulder again as they walked.

Monte carried Lennon back to his room, sitting him back down in bed, using the pillows to prop him up. He handed Lennon the juice and snacks

"Thank you." Lennon mumbled, trying to get the straw to put ut in the juice box. He gave up after a minute or so and pouted, holding them out to Monte.

Monte chuckled softly, taking the straw and putting it in the juice box for Lennon. "There you go Leno."

Lennon smiled as he took the juice box, slowly drinking from it before trying to open the packet for his snack.

"Need help?" Monte asked.

Lennon nodded, pouting again. "uh huh."

Monte smiled. "Don't pout, it's okay.'

"But it won't open." Lennon said, pouting more.

"Lemme see it," said Monte.

Lennon held it out to him, drinking juice as he looked up at his brother.

Monte opened the small packet, handing it back.

Lennon mumbled a thanks and slowly started eating from the packet.

Monte watched him with a smile.

Lennon looked up at him after a few minutes, sticking his tongue out at him.

Monte chuckled. "What was that for?"

"Cause." Lennon said, giggling.

Monte smiled. "Silly."

Lennon shook his head. "Not silly...sick." He sighed.
