I'll Be There For You

Jeff shook his head as he and Chris looked around the selling grounds. They had all of the pets up for sale in cages like they were animals. Jeff hated it. These men may have been chosen as pets just because they were different, but that didn't mean they weren't human.

He spotted a blonde pup curled up in the back of one on the cages nearby and asked the man who own the place to let him in. The poor blonde looked terrified. Chris could tell he hadn't been fed very well and had a funny feeling he wasn't feeling well either.

Jeff and Chris carefully approached the blonde, kneeling down in front of him. "Hi there," Jeff said gently. "What's your name darlin?"

Jay's ears went back as the two men approached. "J-Jay...J-Jason." The pup answered softly, not sure if he should trust them.

"It's alright little one," said Chris softly. "We aren't here to hurt you," he told him. "I'm Chris, that's Jeff." Jeff smiled. "You're a pretty little thing."

Jay blushed at being called pretty, he almost managed a very shy smile at the two.

"Jay?" Chris said gently. "I'd like to take you home with me, would you like that?"

"R-Really?" Jay asked softly. "Y-You'd want to take me home?"

Chris nodded. "Of course," he said. "but only if you want."

Jay bit his lip softly before nodding, the man seemed kind.

Chris carefully picked Jay up. "Don't worry, you're safe now."

Jay tiredly curled close.

"Just rest pup, I'll wake you when we get home," said Chris.

Jay nodded slowly as his eyes closed.

Chris carried Jay out to the car

Jay was fast asleep, his tail wrapped around himself.

Chris carefully laid Jay down in the back seat.

Jay curled up into a protective ball.

Jeff sat in the back with Jay while Chris drove home.

Jay murmured softly in his sleep.

Jeff rubbed one of Jay's ears.

Jay whined softly, he was starting to feelworse.

"It's okay pup," Jeff murmured. "We'll be home soon."

Jay settled a bit.

Chris soon pulled into the driveway.

Jay was mermering again. Adam was watching from the window as they pulled in.

Chris picked Jay up again, carrying him toward the house.
