I'm Gonna Love You Through It

"Because..." Adam said, wiping away some of his tears. "Suddenly you're the one comforting me..."

"We've gotta help each other through this," said Sammy with a light sniffle.

"I know..." Adam said, letting out another sob.

"Shhhhhhh," Sammy soothed gently as she wiped her eyes before pulling him close again.

Adam buried his face against Sammy's shoulder, taking deep breaths; trying to calm himself down.

"We're gonna be okay," Sammy told him. "How I dunno, but we are."

"I know," Adam mumbled. "I know we will..." He lifted his head and gave Sammy a small smile.

Sammy smiled and rested her forehead against his. "I love you Adam."

"I love you too." Adam replied softly.

Sammy sighed softly. "So many people I'm gonna have to call......"

"Do it later..." Adam said, hugging her tight.

"Adam," the brunette asked softly. "How are you gonna handle three shows a night, plus me?"

"I um..." Adam said, frowning slightly. "I don't know."

"You're not dropping out of Memphis," the brunette said firmly. "I won't let you."

"But..." Adam said, staring at her. "What makes you think I was considering that?" He asked.

"I doesn't matter if you were or not," Sammy said. "You're not doing it."

"Why not?" Adam asked her.

"Because you've been calling for the past two years to get into that show Adam," Sammy told him. "I'm not letting you give that up." "Plus, if I can't work, then you'll have to."

"But I'd just be too busy worrying..." Adam said.

"I'll have Anthony come sit with me while you''re on stage," said Sammy. "Would that make you feel better?"

"Uh...maybe..." Adam said, sounding uncertain.

"C'mon Adam, he's your best friend," said Sammy. "You know he'll take good care of me."

Adam sighed. "I know...but..." He paused, running a hand through his hair.

"You'd rather be the one taking care of me?" Sammy asked gently.

"Yes..." Adam nodded.
