Pity The Child

"What?" Lennon asked, looking worried. He looked over at Kiara, frowning when he saw, hugging Monte tighter.

Monte clung tightly to his brother, shaking. "Please Len......not that...please," Monte whimpered.

"Monte...it's not the same...it's not..." Lennon said quietly.

"Don't make me...." Monte pleaded. "I-I didn't do anything....I'll be good I promise I will...." Monte's mind was stuck back in the house, all he could see was Will.

"Monte...he's not here." Lennon said, hugging him tight. ""He's not here..."

"He's not gonna hurt me?" Monte asked. "He won't make me go in the closet again? I don't like it in there......"

Lennon shook his head. "No...no...He's not here."

Adam swore quietly, putting his head in his hands.

Monte nodded, burying his face in Lennon's shoulder while Kiara gave him the shot. He hardly felt the prick of a needle anymore.

Lennon held Monte close, gently stroking his hair again.

Monte relaxed against Lennon, not wanting to look at Adam.

Lennon gently rubbed Monte's back, trying to calm him down.

Adam still had his head in his hands.

Sammy put an arm around Adam.

Adam slowly leaned against Sammy.

"It'll be okay Addy," Sammy whispered in his ear. "They're gonna be okay now."

Adam didn't respond, besides leaning against Sammy more.

Sammy kissed Adam's temple

Adam moved to lay his head in Sammy's lap, then covered his face again.

Sammy took Adam's hands in her own. "Stop that."

Adam frowned, staring up at her, in tears.

"Shhhhhhh," Sammy soothed gently, looking over to see Monte had fallen asleep. "It's okay Addy, he's fine."

Adam shook his head. "You...you're all sick...and there's only one explaination for his reaction before..." He said, looking more upset as he spoke. "There's still more those assholes have done...that the boys haven't talked about..."

"And they'll tell us when they're ready," said Sammy. "Not before."

"It's still another thing I missed whenever I had them visit..." Adam said quietly.

"Addy....don't do this to yourself....." said Sammy.

"Why not?" Adam asked. "Everyone points out I'm overprotective...yet I never even picked up on any of it besides what was done to...and in front of me..." He said, rolling over to face away from Sammy.
