Tainted Love

"You see her?" Lennon asked, knowing who he was looking for. He undid his seatbelt and started getting out of the car.

Monte pointed when he spotted her and quickly unbuckled his seat belt.

Lennon moved so Monte could get out of the car, looking over at Adam, who was leaning against the car as he waited.

Monte got out and quickly hurried toward Kayla and started talking to her.

Lennon watched Monte, but decided not to go over there just yet, instead walking Adam and Sammy.

Monte sighed softly. Eighteen year old Kayla led Monte back over to the group. "Bradley beat up pretty bad," she said. "But he won't let the doctors touch him..."

"What if Monte talks to him?" Lennon asked.

"I'm hoping that'll help," said Kayla.

"Wait...would they let him in though?" Lennon asked.

"I already talked to the nurse in charge of him or whatever.... Kiara I think," said Kayla. "She said she knows you guys, so it's okay."

Adam nodded. "Yeah she does. At least he has a good doctor then..."

Kayla nodded. "If he'd let her near him...."

"Take Monte to him." Adam said. "We'll wait."

Kayla nodded and led Monte to the room.

Adam took the others to the all too familiar waiting room.

Kayla came to the door of the room. "Bradley, someone's here to see you...."

"Don't want doctors..." Bradley mumbled.

"What about me then?" Monte asked from the doorway.

Bradley smiled when he heard the familiar voice, but turned his head away, not wanting Monte to see.

"Bradley," said Monte, coming in to the room. "Baby....."

Bradley slowly lifted his uninjured hand to cover his face.

"Bradley don't," Monte pleaded gently.

"But I prob'ly look terrible..." Bradley mumbled, frowning when the word didn't didn't quite come out right thanks to a swollen lip.

"That doesn't matter to me though," said Monte. "I love you, no matter what."

Bradley smiled slightly and slowly moved his hand as he turned to look up at Monte.
